How Nevada compensates your excess solar generation

Net BillingActive

NV Energy moved to net billing with time-of-use export rates (credits vary by time of day, ~$0.05-$0.10/kWh). PUCN approved a shift to 15-minute netting (Sep 2025), effective October 1, 2025 for new NV Energy Northern Nevada customers — this reduces export value versus prior monthly netting, and new demand charges also apply. Southern Nevada (NV Energy Las Vegas) may follow different rules; NMR-2025 is the default tariff for northern NV. Earlier NEM grandfathered. Battery storage beneficial.
